Is Advanced Warfare the best Call of Duty that came out until now?
Advanced Warfare is a great game. We must state this from the beginning. But is it the best out of all Call of Duty that came out until now? The answer is no, at least in my opinion is no. Call of Duty was until now a game that presented war as it was, as it is or as it could be in a near future. With this episode they changed all that. The action takes place now in 2054, and from my point of view this is what makes this game a little less appealing than the previous ones. The weapons are futuristic and you are using an exosuit. If you can see past that, or if this is exactly what you were looking for, then Activision had your best interests when they created this sequel.
Advanced Warfare has one point that makes it stand out when you compare it with the previous released games: the cinematics . The performances are enhanced by some of the best and most expressive character models that exists. The role of Jonathan Irons played by Kevin Spacey is really amazing, contributing a lot to the story, making him one of the best bad characters that you cannot stop admiring, or something like that :-)
Some of the best graphic achievements of the game can be clearly seen in the level you are running through Baghdad or the one with the nuclear power plant.
The game is really playable, even though the script is very predictable.
I cannot be other than nostalgic when I speak about Call of Duty as is one of the first shooters that I played in my childhood and even though I enjoyed more the previous games I think that Advanced Warfare deserves a chance for the fans of the genre.
I played it on Playstation but the game is available for PS3, PS4, XBox 360, XBox One and PC.
