Think twice before reserving a tour at the McKamey Manor
THE MCKAMEY MANOR is one of the most extreme haunted houses there is. NOBODY until now finished the whole tour of the house. For this reasons the owner is thinking to tone things down for 2014. I guess that he wants at least some people to finish the tour.
Only 2 people per group can be admitted and the entrance is with reservation only. Before entering you have to sign a form admitting that you are in excellent health condition, that you do not have any respiratory problems and that you are not liable to suffer any seizures. Once you do get in, you cannot exit until the tour is finished, or until they consider that your health can be in danger. The short tour is 2-4 hours, depending on how you deal with fear. The long tour is 7 hours.
In order to get in you have to do a reservation with weeks ahead as the line is pretty big already. The interesting thing is that the entrance fee is 4 cans or one bag of dog food that are donated to operation Greyhound. This is a non profit organization that rescues and adopts greyhounds in San Diego California.
This is not your average grandmas haunting. Watch the trailer and see with your own eyes what some people are willing to endure in order to be scared. You can also go directly on their website and make a reservation if you have the guts. I will add here only the trailer for the McKamey Manor, but you also can see a full 55 minutes video where an adrenaline junkie and a marine are quitting, not being able to finish the tour and explaining afterwards the experience they had inside.
I really enjoy a thrill, but this is a little too much. Nobody is really prepared for this.
